For long now I see a consistent, persistent trend in your WTP and other “debates”, whether they are labelled so or not: They are inevitably about girl child, women’s lib or oppression of women. Its really sad, since I think you’re limiting your hosting capability.
WTP as well as other debates are 90% women. As are your staff. And their views are narrow and unbecoming of a national TV channel of great antecedents ~ Pranoy Roy et al.
I don’t mean to be personal, but your personality is adversely impacting any real debate, especially of the macro factors that a Govt can handle. Notice the way you simply brushed aside some of the macro remarks made (happens to be by the few men) on the programme…replay the tape but watch with detachment if you think I’m biased myself 🙂
In my view, this WTP “debate” was a flop as far as giving the viewers any clarity on the important issue of Population Control. And please don’t say TRPs run the show; that’ll be downright myopic.
And since I’m at it, I might as add that your “favourite” (men) politicians are just too obvious. It discounts them in viewer eyes. CM Omar is simply too green behind his ears and needs to get some experience before coming back into an inheritance.
Why do I take the trouble of writing this? Because I think you’re capable of a lot more. I hope you will take it in the right spirit.
