History has sown that quotas, reservation do NOT work as a means of uplifting the communities they are intended to support.
You can take a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.
Instead, history has shown that a handicap system, financial waivers work, in time.
If there is no sense of accomplishment there is no aspirational value – even “backward” humans are human! Aspiration is a key ingredient of human life. Reservations and quotas kill aspirational values.
Thats why Quotas & Reservations have never worked. Even in modern India, after 60 years of constitutional provisions. Time the backwards & the minorities realised this.
Unless, ofcourse, they wish to remain there.
