The short sightedness and lack of knowledge of the common man is fully exploited by political parties – INC as well as BJP, et all who actually fuel the fear and resentment by holding press conferences like the one the BJP is right now holding. #SICK
A budget deficit is paid for by EVERYONE, especially those BPL who dont even use much of these products, if at all. The POOREST people pay the most as a % of their incomes. Why?
Because the deficit devalues the currency. The Rupee buys less and ALL product prices are priced higher to compensate for higher input costs. That means, the super rich pay the same as the sweeper or peon. How is that fair?
Making people pay for what they use so that each pays his own way through life is the most equitable. If at all any subsidy must be had, it must be delivered directly into the hands of BPL families. NOT in general subsidies.
The INC seems never to be able to communicate this and the BJP ensures the common man forgets this.
