The trouble with the BJP

The debate is on!

Should BJP accept Nitish Kumar’s condition that its most successful CM, Narendra Modi, should not campaign in Bihar – just to save itself from a defeat in Bihar?

@BDUTT said http://bit.ly/ds2kw3 – is this a matter of who will blink? Yes, in terms of news perhaps.  But I think its a bigger question that ails the “Principal Opposition”.

That question: Has the BJP all but completely bankrupt in ideology, strategy and character? If abandoning it’s most successful CM is even on the table for discussion, like the opposite happened in Jharkhand, this question becomes very relevant.

Maybe the BJP may “survive” the next election with a few bruises in Bihar if they succumb to Nitish’s extraordinary diktat. But will the BJP survive, period?

A party with character has come to become a party of characters.

God save Indian democracy. No opposition = death of democracy. Then why not have a long sting of martial law?
