Bhutan was on my bucket list. I finally went there in early June 2016. √
Little did I know that much of Bhutan was funded, built and even maintained by India. About 70% of tourism revenue also comes in from India. Tourism is the 2nd largest contributor to Bhutan’s GDP (as per my guide).
Bhutan is located in the lap of the Himalayas. The highest mountain range in the world. Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal have the lions share of this awesome mountain range. The scenery is grand and even breathtaking at places. If you want to experience the landscape, Bhutan is one of several places to go to.
