The continuous and incesscent attacks on Indians in Australia is now topped by Australian treachery when it voted against India and with China to block ADB aid to an Arunachal Pradesh project. Read about it .
Our Foreign Minister went there and so have some other functionaries. Perhaps we’ll now see the Junior Minister also go there on the pretext of the new attack we heard about today. Ofcourse, we’ll see the TV channels pander to the platitudes the Australian reps dish out, all for TRPs.
The IFS is more covetted because it allows for froeign postings as is the Foreign Ministry as politicians get to constantly travel in 5-star luxury to say the least.
But how about doing some work for the pitiable citizens who voted and pay for all this?
That is perhaps too much to ask. After all, the new establishment at the ministry are softies and light-weights as can be seen by the public humiliation they recieved at the hands of the Finance Minister recently, not to mention the Tweetgate.
So will the person(s) who give the Foreign Ministry orders please take note of the Australian Treachery at least now and issue needful commands to the Foreign Ministry?
What a shame. “Emerging Power” is what we Indians like to think of ourselves. What a mirage!
It is not surprising that the Commonwealth Games security is being especially vetted for the Australian atheletes. Indians’ security in Australia does not matter to this Government, it seems.
I personally had great hopes for SM Krishna’s tenure since he was a good CM in my state. Tharoor’s loss at the UN, I thought was India’s gain.
Obviously, I’m mistaken.
