The number of ‘favoured’ teams making their exits almost seems consistent.
One reason could be that “star” players have received so much media hype that a team game like Footy isnt won by individual stars. In fact, most stars have also failed to live up to their media hype.
To make a debatable point this trend is also seen in cricket, if only hard facts – runs & wickets are reckoned.
Believing the media and their “experts” is always dicey. As always.
