The Inventory

It’s my 60th New Years Eve of which I remember but a few.

This one that ends the decade, not just of time, but also of my emerging from my cocoon of work and rat race.

Every year the temptation of a new year’s resolution was always overtaken by the fear that it won’t be kept and lethargy soon took over to shun such childish impulses.

But this year I’m gripped by a new energy, a new freedom; I had no hesitation picking my resolutions when I took an inventory of the year, the decade.

I want to start two things and stop two.

Start travelling on free-from-schedules road trips and visit the nearby slums to see how I can help; stop chewing pan-parag and sitting in front of the comp the whole day!

Amen.
