The first pass saw a clearly offside Iniesta. The pass being blocked, the NED backs as well as goalie seem to have slacked off expecting an offside whistle. But to their utter dismay, it wasn’t given offside and the immediate second pass found an on-side Iniesta and the winning goal followed.

The refereeing blunders in this tournament were horrendous, to put it mildly. And FIFA’s strong resistance to technology being used makes the whole thing suspect, in a world riddled with corruption.
It doesn’t seem to matter to “fans” who just want a new celebrity to cheer for the moment, the question of it being properly done seems irrelevant.
